Laptop ban lifted from Etihad Flights to the US

Passengers travelling to the US from Etihad Airlines no longer have to worry about their large electronic devices, as they are now allowed on US bound flights from the UAE capital.

All Etihad Airways guests travelling to the US arrive in the country as domestic passengers. This is due to the fact that they clear US Immigration and Customs at the US Preclearance facility in Terminal 3 at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the only one of its kind in the Middle East.

It is due to this clearance provided by Abu Dhabi Interntional Airport that the ban has been lifted, as all securtiy screenings comply with US standards.

Etihad Airways is one of the first airlines to be able to reinstate electronic devices on its flights to the US.
