Lamar Odom has checked himself into rehab. Khloe Kardashian's basketball star hubby was arrested and charged with DUI in LA on 30 August following weeks of speculation surrounding his marriage and his alleged drug abuse - now it's out there that he's taking action to get clean.
A source told People.com, "He realised he needs help."
Lamar, 33, has admitted to drug use in the past - he violated NBA drug policies in 2001 and spoke candidly of his use of illegal substances in 2003.
Meanwhile, Khloe has refused to comment about reports suggesting that she had led an intervention to prompt Lamar to seek help, and that they were living apart at the time of his arrest last week.
Privately, she is said to be devastated, but she's been trying to put on a brave front publicly, while also defending Lamar, who has been accused of having an affair with Jennifer Richardson, whose pal claims she collected plane tickets, invoices and game tickets from her time with the basketball player, which allegedly lasted from December 12, 2012 until February 12, 2013.
Khloe was spotted last week wearing her hubby's hooded sweatshirt as she got out and about. She'd also raged on Twitter, "Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk s*** about my family! F*** you and shame on you! I'm too protective for this s***!"
Then came the Instagram message, "Never judge someone without knowing the whole story. You may think you understand, but you don't."
