La Cantine du Faubourg

If you appreciate the finer things in life, prepare to be wowed! Based on five key principles of sound, music, image, art and food, this is the perfect spot for culture lovers. Beyond the exquisite French fare on offer, the restaurant’s ‘art gallery’ concept showcases some of today’s most audacious photographers, painters, sculptors and multi-media artists.

It’s simple, but very effective. The minimalistic approach to the décor instantly induces feelings of space and relaxation. Decked out in natural materials of wood, marble and stone, it’s a timeless foundation that allows the ever-evolving artwork to shine in its full glory.

Dine on Michelin star fare. Gilles Bosquet is the Executive Chef here, following a career in France that awarded him the coveted accolade. Signatures on the menu include honey glazed wagyu short ribs and risotto with leeks and fresh truffle and pecorino, adorned with a gloriously runny poached egg. It’s a culinary experience that’s not to be scoffed at.

The music attracts an eclectic crowd at the weekends. With the DJ spinning everything from Vanessa Paradis to Kanye West, this is a refined hotspot where you’ll see many a socialite throwing some shapes.

Brunch in bed. Well, sort of. Every Saturday from November 19, the restaurant will be transformed into a typical Parisian boudoir, with the waiting staff creating a lazy ambience, wearing silk pyjamas and robes. It sounds cheesy, but it is actually super-sophisticated, with dishes brought to the table, allowing intimate conversation without interruptions. If you’re entertaining the in-laws and you need to make a good impression, this is a venue that’s hard to beat.
