Entrepreneur, model and reality TV star are just a few of the titles that Kylie Jenner can boast. But now the teenager can also consider herself a comedian after claiming she’s a feminist.
The Successful Sister
The 18-year-old has been in the public eye since she was a tot, thanks to her family’s reality television show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. In a new interview with Glamour magazine, Kylie insisted that it’s her ability to find success on her own that makes her a role model for other young women keen to follow in her footsteps. Asked if she considers herself a feminist by the publication, Kylie answered: “I mean, of course I do, but I don’t think I stand up in public that way a lot. Not that I don’t feel things in my personal life, but yes: I do consider myself a feminist.”
The brunette, who has become a tabloid favourite, thanks to her relationship with rapper Tyga, added: “I’m a young woman and I don’t depend on a man or anybody else. I make my own money and start my own businesses, and I feel like I’m an inspiration for a lot of young girls who want to stand on their own.” Despite many people thinking she lives off her famous family, Kylie claims that she has survived off her own earnings for the past five years. “I haven’t had a dollar of my mum’s money for five years,” she said. “Ever since I started earning my own money, I’ve paid for everything.” Good one, Kylie.
