Kristin Chenoweth's new holiday movie mirrors her own life
Kristin Chenoweth has revealed a personal connection to her new Hallmark Channel holiday movie, A Christmas love story. The Emmy and Tony-winning actress opened up about a pivotal scene in the film during a Q&A session at a screening of the film on Friday morning in Los Angeles.
Keen not to give away too many details during the chat, which was broadcast via Facebook Live, she confessed the scene in the movie where one character meets their birth mother for the very first time was very close to home for the adopted star.
"That scene happened to me. I am adopted and I had this virtually same conversation with my birth mum," Kristin shared. "I remember my birth mum saying to me, 'Can you ever forgive me?' And I was like, 'There's nothing to forgive. You gave me such a great life. I got the right parents.'"
The Glee star added: "Anyway, that scene is very special to me because we developed it around exactly what happened in my life."
A Christmas Love Story, also starring Scott Wolf and Kevin Quinn, premiered on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday night.
