Kim Kardashian's Hoax Wedding

Was it all for the cash?

Kim Kardashian’s signature has barely dried on her divorce papers, but the backlash against her is already in overdrive.

The reality star shocked, and in many cases angered, fans across the world after splitting up with her NBA hubby after just 72 days.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star netted a huge amount of cash for her wedding in August, which many people now believe was a cynical publicity stunt aimed at the one thing Kim really does love – money.

In an attempt to win back popular support – the bread and butter of any reality star – Kim blogged, “I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people.

“There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this.”

It’s unclear who Kim hope’s will believe her, after the wedding earned her and Kris a reported Dhs66 million from various endorsements and magazine and TV deals, which we revealed last week works out at an astonishing Dhs916,000 for every day they were married. Kim also received mountains of expensive presents from companies and friends to help her celebrate her big day, including a Dhs6,000 coffee pot and two Dhs4,500 sterling silver vegetable spoons.

On her blog she continued, “I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.”

That may sound like the honourable thing to do, but sources close to Kim admit she is only planning on writing a cheque for Dhs735,000 – less than the amount she made per day from being with Kris.

Kris and his family were left shocked and disappointed with the news of the divorce, and are still hoping the two will patch things up. But Kim thinks otherwise, telling pals Kris’s parents didn’t even want them to get married. She also told a friend, “It’s ridiculous Kris’ family is making Kris look like the victim.”

But a silver lining for Kris is that he has already been flooded with job offers. Chippendales in Las Vegas has offered him a full-time position, and a dating website is willing to match Kris’ salary on Keeping Up With The Kardashians if he’ll agree to become their spokesman.

If anyone’s wondered how photos of Kim appear so quickly, and are always so flattering, wherever she is in the world, the answer is simple. She has her own Splash News private paparazzo that travels with her! And guess who “scooped” images of Kim’s actual divorce papers before Kris even knew? Of course it was Splash. We smell something fishy here guys!
