Kim Kardashian the Humanitarian?
There are many words we’d use to describe Kim Kardashian but ‘political’ and ‘educated’ aren’t the first two that spring to mind. But could things be changing?
Kim Ki Moon?
TMZ reported, “Kim Kardashian is about to embark on a whirlwind trip to Kuwait and Bahrain and she’s hoping to educate herself on the Middle East crisis while she’s in town.” Now this should be interesting.
Sources close to Kim revealed that the reality star’s already slated to appear at Millions of Milkshakes shops in Kuwait and Bahrain, but since her Twitter slip-up surrounding the Palestinian conflict she’s determined to use the trip to educate herself about the political situation in the region. Are you sure, Kim?
A source told the gossip website, “Kim wants to be as informed as possible so she can use her celebrity to help those in need and raise awareness about important issues in the area.”
Kim, who will be followed by a private security squad, has apparently already set up meetings in both countries with local leaders. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon must be quaking in his boots.
‘Where are the Middle Eastern women?’
Kim’s also set on cashing in on her Armenian heritage after revealing to Oprah that when she first became famous she wondered why more Middle Eastern women weren’t big stars.
Ever on the look out for more fans, canny Kim spilled to the chat show queen that she felt she’d paved the way for female Middle Eastern celebrities. She also recently tweeted that she missed Dubai, which could be a hint that she’s planning a UAE stop on her trip to the region.
Kim hits the Middle East on 29 November – we’ll keep you posted on her progress!
