Lamar Odom finally responded to Khloé Kardashian’s divorce filing and has asked a judge to refuse the reality TV star spousal support.
Khloé split from Lamar in 2013 and filed for divorce in 2015 after hearing rumours about the NBA star’s alleged affairs.
She called off all of the proceedings last October after Lamar’s overdose, but in May the 32-year-old asked for divorce again citing “irreconcilable differences” – yes we know, it’s quite hard to keep up with these two…
A source told People.com that Khloé “needs to move on her life”, and it seems that the 36-year-old sportsman is finally ready to as he decided to sign the divorce papers.
It usually takes six months for marriages to be dissolved in California, so Khloé and Lamar could be legally single by the end of the year.
Although, ever since Lamar’s healths care, the pair have remained close and Khloé’s pretty upset about her failed marriage.
In Lena Dunham’s essay Lenny Letter, the famous Kardashian wrote: “It was a challenge for me when I decided to get divorced.” She continued: “At my core, I don’t believe in divorce, but I came to a point in my marriage where I had to make the choice to take care of my own mental and emotional well-being in order to protect myself and my happiness.”
However, in an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloé says she’s still open to remarry Lamar one day. We’ll just have to wait and see then…
