Ten years from now... I will hopefully be retired, enjoying life and motorsports

When it comes to the phrase ‘work hard, play hard’, 38-year old Emirati national Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi has success nailed. Although his main job title is Chief Human Capital Officer of the Mubadala Development Company, Khaled is also the chairman of Daman, and the Managing Director of Tabreed, the largest district cooling company in the world. With so many responsibilities, it’s hard to believe the father of four has time for anything else. However, with a passion for motorsports that’s blossomed from a childhood love for cars, Khaled is also an accomplished race driver. In 2013 he celebrated a big win at the Dunlop Tires 24H of Dubai, one of the most anticipated races in the city, and he became the first Emirati to finish the 24 hours of Le Mans and then finished the year by winning the Gulf 12 Hours at the Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. The high-achieving businessman didn’t stop there, launching his dream project, the Daman Speed Academy. With few resources available for him to hone his own racing talent while he was growing up, Khaled’s new venture focuses on the development of young future champions in motorsports.
