They’ve dabbled in design, become accomplished on the fashion runway, but now the two youngest sisters in the Kardashian family are adding another string to their accomplished bow. Kendall and Kylie Jenner, probably still best-known for being reality TV stars, have just launched their much-anticipated new young-adult novel Rebels: City of Indra, The Story of Lex and Livia.
The dystopian sci-fi story is set to revolve around two young girls, Lex and Livia, blessed with super-powers. Not natural friends, the two are forced to work together to save Lex’s friend Kane. The twist in the tale (sorry- spoiler alert!) is that they are actually twin sisters, in a world where that is banned as a mutation.
The two younger Keeping Up With The Kardashians sisters are not the first novelists in the family though. They are following in the footsteps of their older siblings; Kim, Kourtney and Khloe released Dollhouse in 2011, which told a tellingly familiar tale of three high-profile sisters in a complicated family environment.
The girls signed copies of the book and posed for photographs with fans at the Bookends Bookstore in Ridgewood, where the tome was launched.
The Kardashians seem unable to stay out of the spotlight. The book launch follows hot on the heels of the two-city Kanye West Kim Kardashian wedding weekend in Paris and Florence, and their subsequent honeymoon in Ireland and Prague.
