How she lost 22 kilos – and kept it off!

As rock ‘n’ roll royalty, Kelly Osbournehas long been a front-row staple at New York Fashion Week. But last month’s style event was different than any other – for the first time, the super-svelte singer was able to squeeze her slimmed-down frame into the tiny outfits on the runway.

“I’m smaller than a sample size,” gushed the 25-year-old.

“Now every designer will send me anything that I want, and I can’t believe that I am in this situation.” Adding, “I opened up all of these zip bags last night from Marchesa – off the runway – and I can’t believe that it fits me.”

But Kelly’s new size 2 (UK size 6) figure, didn’t happen overnight – it’s the result of a year-long battle that’s seen her transform from a chubby party girl to a super-skinny stylista. Star Style discovers how she did it…

The Diet
Kelly admits kicking her junk food habit was hard saying, “For a very long time, salted cookies were my favourite thing in the world.” Adding, “It’s hard to get out of a hole you’ve dug so deeply.” But she’s managed to cut bread and other refined carbs from her diet, filling up on fresh vegetables and fruit instead. She’s also ditched fizzy drinks, and guzzles up to four litres of water a day.

“I don’t eat junk food. I don’t have it in my house anymore. I’m more inclined to go for a bag of carrots now than a bag of chips,” she boasts. Adding, “I’m really proud to look in the mirror and not hate every single thing I see. I no longer think, ‘Why don’t I look like this girl or that girl?’”

The WorkOut
As a former gym-hater, Kelly now hits the treadmill four times a week, revealing, “I just commit to half an hour a day. It doesn’t seem overwhelming and I can handle that. I do half an hour on the treadmill, and when I feel like doing more, I’ll do a few sit-ups and maybe some weights.”
