Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams are the latest celebrity stars chosen to co-chair with US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour for the 2017 Met Gala.
Previous celebrities who served in this position include Taylor Swift, Idris Elba and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The singers will help Anna Wintour behind the scenes of the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit in New York City, which is considered to be the Oscars of the fashion world. The gala has attracted the biggest names in fashion, music and Hollywood scene.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art recently announced that the annual costume benefit will take place on 1 May 2017 and the theme will focus on Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo, who is the co-owner of luxury brand, Comme des Garcons, and the Art of the In-Between.
The designer will also serve as a co-chair alongside Anna Wintour, Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry.
