Kate Winslet's Halo Slips!
Kate Winslet was just awarded a CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) by the Queen, but her recent behaviour has been anything but excellent. Radar Online reported that on a recent Virgin flight, Kate snubbed two teenage fans!
The two girls were seated near Kate in first-class on a flight from London to Boston when they asked the actress for an autograph. “My two daughters asked for an autograph about half an hour into the six and a half hour flight,” explained the girls’ mum, “She told them she would come back later and visit. Well, that never happened… it was very sad that she couldn’t be bothered.” As for the two girls, their mum added, “They’ve dumped their Titanic and The Holiday DVDs vowing never to watch her movies again.” Youch! Not the best PR campaign for Kate. But then came the news that once in Massachusetts, Kate snubbed over a hundred more fans!
While shooting new flick Labor Day in the small town of Shelburne Falls, Kate didn’t acknowledge a huge group of fans yelling, “Kate, we love you”! A source said, “I witnessed several seniors asking the production staff if Kate would come and talk to fans, and there were roughly 100 people waiting for her.” But Kate didn’t bother. A resident said, “This was the first celebrity I’ve seen in my lifetime, and sadly the experience was hurtful to me and my entire town. Kate Winslet really left a bitter taste in our mouths.” Time to start acting like a CBE, Kate!
