Kate Says “I Do”
Kate Moss finally wed fiancé Jamie Hince this weekend in a lavish wedding ceremony in the English countryside. Wearing a rhinestone dress designed by her troubled pal John Galliano and Manolo Blahnik shoes she was every inch the model bride.
The couple wed in the 12th century St Peter’s Church near their country home. And as a testament to how famous they are, roads were cordoned off so their celeb pals could arrive with ease. From best friends Sadie Frost and designer Stella McCartney to actors Jude Law and Kelly Osbourne, it was a star studded bash.
Mario Testino played wedding photographer while Lila, Kate’s eight-year-old daughter with ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack, was one of the 14-strong bridesmaids. However, the event wasn’t without controversy. Jamie’s bandmate Alison Mosshart served as bestman and John Galliano made an appearance despite being on trial for his racist slurs.
Kate’s after-party, held at her home, was a huge affair. Dubbed Moss-Stock the couple hosted a three-day celebration with rumoured performances by Shirley Bassey, Iggy Popp and Bryan Ferry.
The pair reportedly spent Dhs2.9m on the wedding, with most spent on festivities. Kate hired catering from her fave haunts China Tang at the Dorchester and the Ritz in Paris, while lorries of Grey Goose Vodka and Dom Perignon champagne stocked the bars. Kelly Osbourne tweeted, “This is the most beautiful, loving, amazing wedding I’ve ever been to. It’s magical when you see people really in love!”
