He’s won numerous Grammys and VMAs, and he’s recorded more than his fair share of number one singles, but Kanye West isn’t done.
The world’s biggest selling producer has announced that he plans to run for president in 2020 – but we’re not sure if he’s joking or not. During a 13 minute acceptance speech for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Kanye revealed: “It’s about ideas bro, new ideas bro. People with ideas. People who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”
Whether or not Kanye makes good on his threat is anyone’s guess, but the rapper would probably get our vote over Donald Trump! Yeezy also took the time to apologise to Taylor Swift and showed remorse for some of his past actions.
“Thank you Taylor for being so gracious and giving me this award this evening. And I often think back to the first day that I met you. If I had a daughter at that time, would I have went on stage and grabbed the mic from someone else’s?”
Could this possibly be the start of a new Kanye?
