YAS: K-Pop Boyband EXO will get a star on the Dubai Walk of Fame

Dubai loves Exo.

Following the K-Pop group's stage perfomances last April on 'SMTown Live World Tour VI', it seems their growing reputation managed to score them a spot at Dubai's Walk of Fame alongside other notable stars like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and action star Jackie Chan.

The Dubai's Walk of Fame project which is set to have 10,000 stars voted by the public, will be the world's biggest walkable tribute. Oh, Dubai and its obsession with superlatives!

The exciting news was officially announced by The Dubai Stars on their social media handles and the K-Pop group's fans have never been more excited.

The announcement garnered some crazy responses, especially from EXO's devoted fanbase who call themselves EXO-Ls. Even non-fans extended their congratulations to the group as they will be the second Korean pop act to bag a star on the Dubai's Walk of Fame.

The first being BTS, another sensational Korean boy group, proving the music genre's local evolution in the recent years.

This was also not the first time EXO's influencial power as artists got recognised locally.

On January of last year, the boy group personally flew to Dubai to watch their hit song 'Power' (which btw, was also played at the Fifa World Cup 2018) perfectly choreographed at the Dubai Fountain.

The song was so well-received among spectators that well, it had to be played on three seperate occasions!

Not only that, the K-Pop group was also featured on Burj Khalifa last July and group member Baekhyun's single 'Imagine' was featured at the record-breaking laser and light show at Dubai Festival City.

Though we're still not sure if the members of EXO will attend the event this October, expecially with two of their members on hiatus, we can't help but be excited. It doesn't hurt to hope a little!
