Who said there’s no such thing as a free lunch? Pop superstar Justin Bieber made sure he did his good deed for the day when he treated a group of strangers to free sandwiches while shopping in Hollywood this week.

The Baby hitmaker was grabbing a bite to eat in a local deli when he decided to pay for all of the other customers’ orders, too. One of the lucky patrons shared a blurry snap of Bieber at the deli with her Instagram.com follower, alongside the caption: “Just saw Justin Bieber in Hollywood. He ended up buying everyone’s sandwich who ordered.”

Another user sarcastically took to Twitter.com to write, "Don't you hate when you're trying to buy sandwiches and Justin Bieber buys them for you?! Ugh how rude of him!" Justin obviously saw the funny side, retweeting the post to his 57.4 million followers on his Twitter account.

It’s a positive end to a week where Bieber has come under fire from animal rights activists for two separate incidents – first, the singer was blasted by the vet who cared for Bieber’s pet monkey,  Mally, after it was confiscated from him in Germany. She said: “Mally was frightened [when he arrived], he was alone, he was disoriented and we did not know how things would work out for him. Mally needed to be cared for constantly and from the way he reacted here, I believe that Justin Bieber probably only ever interacted with him when he wanted to have his picture taken with a fan.” And then, the singer’s dad Jeremy was alleged to have thrown Bieber’s puppy, Karma, out of the window when it bit his younger brother.
