You’ll think you’re in an ancient Indian palace, until you smell the flavours coming from its buzzing open-plan kitchen. Chef Vikas Khanna’s Michelin-starred Junoon first opened in New York in 2010, with its second branch finally debuting in Dubai in 2014.

Don’t even think of ordering butter chicken, because you won’t find it. Instead, try authentically Indian dishes like the murgh dhaniwal – chicken cooked in coriander, cardamom and cumin. Thank us later.

The menu changes seasonally and offers food made using five of India’s most famous cooking techniques: tandoor (clay oven), tawa (cast-iron cooking), sigri (open-fire pit), handi (curry) and patthar (stone cooking).

Ask the friendly staff for suggestions. You’ll never believe how tasty the crispy eggplant served with tamarind chutney and chaat masala is until you try it!

Sharing is caring. Instead of sticking to one dish, order a variety and share with your fellow diners to make the most of the flavoursome options.

Spice up your life with an authentic ice cream. Junoon’s kulfi selection of cardamom, curry leaf and custard apple is the perfect way to end a night of decadence and spice.
