Ahlan! Live spoke to Tom
Cruise who is in Dubai for the world premiere of his eagerly awaited movie Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol at
DIFF this evening. And as we watch the film, we’ll also be looking out for Jumeirah
Zabeel Saray, which features among several locations in Dubai appearing in MI4.

At the Mission:
Impossible
Ghost Protocol press conference at Burj Khalifa this morning,
director Brad Bird told Ahlan! Live about the choice of the hotel, “Our
very talented production designer found Zabeel Saray even though it was not
quite open yet. If you can find a location that works well and is close, it’s a
bonus.”

The hotel serves as an
Indian palace in Mission: Impossible
Ghost Protocol and features in the film’s ‘black tie’ scene. In addition to the
existing intricate marble floors, red carpets and luminous chandeliers, the
hotel was adorned with elaborate sculptures to get the royal look right.

Prior to its opening in
January 2011, the hotel also played host to a crew of 450 and a cast of 250 for
three days of filming.

Tom Cruise recalled filming
at the new hotel in an exclusive interview for Jumeirah Magazine, saying, “We felt very lucky because we were able
to shoot in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. It has a real elegance and beauty on
camera.”
