Award-winning UAE rock band Juliana Down will support 30 Seconds To Mars when they perform in Dubai next month, concert promoter Live Nation has announced.
Based in Dubai, they’ve been performing in the Middle East for over a decade and were the first UAE band to be signed to a major record label, Sony Music Middle East.
Juliana Down’s lead singer, Dia Hassan, said: “It’s an honour to open for Thirty Seconds to Mars and represent the UAE. I hope we can be an inspiration to our fans. This event is going to be one of our greatest performances to date, and fans should get ready to rock out at DWTC.”
Juliana Down have previously opened for Muse, Maroon 5 and Guns N Roses, and have performed at events including the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix, Dubai Rugby Sevens and Yas Drag Race Festival.
The show, which will be hosted by Virgin Radio DJ (and Ahlan! columnist) Kris Fade, is being staged to coincide with Middle East Film & Comic Con, which will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 9-11 April. Linked to the massive counter-culture event held in the USA each year, it’s the Middle East’s largest festival devoted to film, TV, sci-fi, animation, gaming and comics.
