Being on television has given my career an added dimension. My MBC show Joelle has recognition but it is for my beauty hotspots Maison De Joelle and the just-opened Clinica Joelle that I’m best known.
Joelle Paris, my skin and haircare brand, has taken four-and-a-half years to come to fruition. I wanted to offer women products that help achieve great results naturally.
It’s an incredible achievement to have Joelle Paris ranked second of all the beauty brands sold at beauty superstore Wojooh. We were up against some major international labels, so this is a vindication of all our hard work.
There’s no such thing as a typical day. Yesterday I was in Singapore and now I’m in Maison De Joelle; tomorrow I will start filming. Each day is very different.
I always rely on myself, so I don’t blame others. No one is going to do anything for you. To get things done, you need to build a team that believes in you.
I carry three phones: a Samsung, an iPhone and a BlackBerry. But I have a phone-phobia and I have no patience with technology.
I don’t like to contact people via the mobile. I love seeing them, but not via the phone.
I’m petrified of flying – but I love to travel.
I don’t stop pushing myself. In 2015 I hope to continue being an ambassador for Pantene, Max Factor and FreshLook coloured contact lenses and am opening Clinica Joelle in Abu Dhabi. I will continue to release new Joelle Paris products into the market and also launch a newly refashioned Maison De Joelle on Jumeirah Road.
Keeps me updated on what’s happening in the world of television.
