JENNIFER HUDSON is "distraught" after the body of her seven-year-old nephew was discovered by police.
Little JULIAN KING was found dead inside a Jeep, just a few miles from the family home where Jennifer's mother and brother were shot dead on Friday.
The 1994 white Chevrolet Suburban, which went missing from the Hudson family's Chicago home on the day of the murders, belonged to the Oscar-winning actress' brother JASON, 29, who was shot in the stomach.
Her 57-year-old mother DARNELL DONERSON was shot in the head.
Shortly after the body was discovered, Jennifer's personal assistant, known only as JAY, said: "She is so distraught she cannot talk."
Julian is the son of Jennifer's older sister JULIA and her former partner GREG KING. Her estranged husband WILLIAM BALFOUR has been arrested in connection with the murders. He was Julian's step-father.
On Saturday - a day after the killings took place, when Julian was still missing - Jennifer posted pictures of her beloved nephew on her MySpace page, urging his kidnapper to come forward and appealing for information about his whereabouts.
In one of the pictures the tragic youngster can been seen posing with his grandmother with the poignant caption "this is how close they were".
The Hudson family are said to be "numb wit shock" at the weekend's events and have yet to release a statement following the discovery of Julian.
The medical examiner's office confirmed Jennifer identified the bodies of her mother, and brother. The deaths were ruled homicides.
