Actress speaks of family agony and offers reward or safe return of missing nephew

Oscar-winning actress JENNIFER HUDSON has offered a US$100,000 reward for the safe return of her missing nephew.

The devastated Dreamgirls star's seven-year-old nephew JULIAN KING was kidnapped on Friday, the same day her mother and brother were discovered shot dead in the family home.

The youngster was at the home of his grandmother, Jennifer's mother DARNELL DONERSON, 57, when she was shot in the head at her home.

Jennifer's older brother JASON, 29, was also gunned down in the incident. He died from a bullet to his chest.

Today Jennifer joined her distraught family in praying for the safe return of little Julian.

In a statement released on her MySpace page, Jennifer said: "Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely.

"If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately.

"Here is a picture of Julian and what he was last seen wearing. Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time. Sincerely, The Hudson Family"

Julian's mother JULIA - the Sex And The City star's sister - also urged his captors to release him safely to his family.

She said: "I don't care who you are, just let the baby go. I just want my son. He don't deserve this.

"I worked, so he was always with her (my mother), day in and day out. She did everything for him. She got him ready for school. She got him ready for bed. It hurts. We're in a state of shock. I don't know what else to do but pray."

Julia added that she is devastated by the shootings, and told journalists how seeing her son alive and well will be the only thing to bring her comfort.

She adds, "My greatest fear has already happened. My greatest hope is for him to come back."

Julia estranged husband WILLIAM BALFOUR was taken into custody later the same day on suspicion of the double shooting.

Police launched a child abduction alert after quizzing Balfour, 27, over the whereabouts of Julia's missing son, and have reportedly called in the FBI to help track down the young boy.

Balfour has not been charged with any offence as goes to press, but police spokeswoman MONIQUE BOND said the deaths appeared to be connected to domestic abuse.
