Jennifer Lopez on Marriage Number Four
Is Jennifer Lopez ready to get married again? The star isn’t ruling it out, telling Vanity Fair about a possible wedding to her new toy boy Casper Smart, "I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. We'll see. I mean, I don't know. It's not time to think about that yet. It's still fresh."
What’s also still fresh is the divorce from Marc Anthony, which happened in August 2011. J-Lo's first two marriages ended in divorce too - she was married to Ojani Noa from February 1997 to January 1998, and to Chris Judd from September 2001 to January 2003. Understandably, she seems to have doubts about walking down the aisle again.
She is also refusing to answer any more questions about the split from Marc because the two want to keep the trouble in their personal lives private for the sake of their two children. The actress admits though that she "really worked hard" to save the relationship.
"Sometimes we don't realise that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself - if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now," she said.
She added in an interview on the Today show, "Everything I wanted to say about the divorce I said in that article. And Marc and I agreed that we're not gonna talk about it publicly again because it really is our personal lives. We have children and it's something that we just have to respect and keep sacred.
"It's not the easiest thing in the world but we handled it with a lot of grace, a lot of caring and a lot of love."
The estranged couple recently reunited to continue working on and promoting their new reality TV show Q'Viva - The Chosen, which Lopez and Anthony host and produce.
J-Lo insists they remain on good terms when it comes to their working relationship, although she admits the pair "had its moments" on set.
She added, "Marc and I were friends before we got married. We were friends for years, and we always loved each other. And we always worked together, so it wasn't an unnatural thing for us to continue working together... It's really a passion project for us.
"Even though it has its difficult moments, it's still a great thing that we're doing, that we feel that we're doing. We have our moments, we're human, but, at the end of the day, there is real love there and there is a family there, and that comes first."
