Has she or hasn’t she, has been the question on everyone’s lips since Janet Jackson got married to Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2012. Now sources close to the couple have confirmed that Janet Jackson has indeed converted to Islam.
A source told Britain’s The Sun: "She feels like she has found a home with her new religion and has told members of her family, who completely respect her choice.” The source added: "She has spent a great deal of time studying the religion and its followers. The days of raunchy dance moves and sexual lyrics are long gone for Janet."
Fans noticed that she’s toned down her outfits during her new Unbreakable tour. Her new album is also largely based on songs about family and her love for her fans, unlike many of her previous releases. Janet even ends her Unbreakable show with "Insha Allah" which means "If Allah wills".
Janet’s brother, Jermaine, also converted to Islam a few years ago.
