Jade Goody has finally lost her battle with cancer.
The star died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Essex in the early hours of this morning.
After being diagnosed with cervical cancer in August last year, the reality TV star made a heroic fight against the disease that was finally to claim her.
Her mother Jackiey Budden told crowds outside her daughter's home, "My beautiful girl has gone" and asked for privacy as her and her family grieve.
Max Clifford who was Jade's publicist and friend said about the 27-year-old: "I think she's going to be remembered as a young girl who has, and who will, save an awful lot of lives.
"She was a very, very brave girl."
Despite being told her cancer was terminal at the end of January, Jade defied all odds to have the most "magical day of my life" when she married Jack Tweed on February 22, and had her and her beloved sons, Bobby Jack, five, and four-year-old Freddy christened in an intimate family ceremony.
In her final interviews Jade had always said that she wanted to be remembered as "the mouthy bird – the one who irritated and entertained people in equal measure".
All of us at Ahlan! send our best wishes and thoughts to her family and her two beloved sons, Bobby Jack and Freddy.
