As a professional photographer, Ivana has an unsurprisingly creative flair. Hailing from Italy, yet constantly travelling overseas, Ivana has numerous items scattered about her one-bedroom loft apartment that remind her “of beautiful places”.
The result is a colourful and eclectic collection of stand-out furniture and accessories within her split-level home. “I love my purple sofa – it’s definitely my favourite piece. It was a birthday present from friends and I love the way the colour stands out against the white walls,” says Ivana. Similarly, an electric blue chaise longue is a prized piece. An vintage chest picked up from a second-hand market in Brighton, England, 15 years ago is another favourite. “It’s full of character and looks a bit battered now – but that’s what I love about it.”
Just as in her photos, natural light has a massive part to play in her home. “The space and the light are the overwhelming reasons I chose this apartment. The views through the double-height windows are astounding. It’s brilliant for entertaining because the open-plan design is very social,” she says+.
