Abu Dhabi's the place to get sporty this weekend as top triathletes head
to the emirate for the second annual Tri Yas triathlon. Friday 13 April will
see a whopping 900 competitors at their best on the Yas Marina Circuit,
including Olympic hopeful and Egypt’s
first professional triathelete, Omar Nour. Omar will also host a junior clinic
with other participants at 6:45pm on Friday, just before the race starts at 7.30pm.
Who says sportsmen don't love their food? Also on the agenda is a Tri
Yas Triathlete Pasta Party. It'll give participants much needed fuel before the
race and also a chance to mingle.
For those wanting to watch the triathlon action, ideal viewing points include the Media
Centre and Marina for the swimming leg, the Yas Paddock Suites overlooking the
main pit transition area for the bike leg, and the Paddock area for the finish
line. Entry is free!
