It's A Boy!
ASHLEE SIMPSON-WENTZ and her rocker husband PETE WENTZ have become parents for the first time after welcoming a baby boy.
The pop star, 24, gave birth to son, BRONX MOWGLI WENTZ on Thursday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The baby weighed in at seven pounds, 11 ounces (3.23 kilograms).
A spokesperson for the couple tells People.com, "Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!"
Ashlee and the Fall Out Boy bassist, 29, announced the pregnancy in May - just a few weeks after they were married in an intimate ceremony at her parents' Los Angeles home.
And according to Ash's parents the coupe are already showing signs of great parenting.
Joe and Tina Simpson say in a statement, "We are happy beyond words and incredibly proud of Ashlee and Pete.
"They are unbelievable parents already, and we can't wait to spend Bronx's first holidays together with the whole family. We are truly blessed."
And the Fall Out Boy bassist's parents are equally excited - revealing the newborn is quickly showing similarities to his mum and dad.
Pete Sr. and Dale Wentz add, "We're thrilled. (Bronx) stayed up late the first night, smiling at everyone who came into the room. He already seems to have the independence and charm of both of his parents."
