Another day, another celebrity announcing their run for presidency. This time Will Smith told CBS that people are forcing him to run for president. However, he is adamant that he was joking when he declared plans to run for the U.S. presidency.

The Hollywood actor hit headlines over the weekend, when he appeared to suggest he was eyeing a new career in politics to oppose controversial would-be candidate Donald Trump, and could even join the 2016 race for the White House.

"If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they've been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they're going to force me into the political arena," Will told America's CBS Sunday Morning... "I mean, I gotta be the president. What else would I run for? Come on!"

Will made the comments in an apparent reference to Trump, who is vying for the Republican party nomination for the 2016 election, but the Independence Day star has now confirmed he has no plans to run for office.

"I was really kind of joking when I said that," he tells Entertainment Tonight, and Will went on to insist that playing Nigerian doctor Bennet Omalu in football drama Concussion made him rethink his views on politics.
