Instagram releases business profiles

Instagram is going from strength-to-strength, it seems. After its recent snapchat-inspired release of Instagram Stories, the app has now been made into the perfect tool for businesses! 

The feature means that brands, companies and boutiques can now have their own unique business profiles on Instagram where customers can directly contact them. Firms can also use the insights tool to analyse their stats and see if Instagram is now doing wonders for business!

The photo-sharing platform will also be launching a 'Promote' tool where posts can be transformed into adverts with a wider reach to attract more customers. This will hep smaller brands to get more coverage on social media. “Small businesses have been a key part of the Instagram community since the start, and now they make up the majority of the 200,000 businesses that advertise on our platform today,” said Amy Cole, Instagram’s Head of Brand Development EMEA.
