Inside Chris Brown and Drake's Bar Brawl
You shouldn't hit the bottle when the going gets tough. We're hoping that's the lesson Chris Brown and Drake picked up after their violent bar brawl at Manhattan hot spot W.i.P on 13 June. We know that Chris was left with a nasty cut to his chin (which he tweeted a pic of, natch) after he was hit in the face with a bottle. Several others at the club were left with bloody injuries, including Eva Longoria's ex Tony Parker, who hurt his eye after finding himself at the centre of the fight. But what really happened between Chris and Drake? Check out the theories.
The buzz is that Chris, who was partying with his entourage, sent a bottle of bubbly to Drake's table. This didn't go down well with Drake, who returned the bottle with a note that made it pretty clear that he was with Chris' ex Rihanna. At some point, bottles started being thrown around. And pretty soon, it was a full-on bottle-fight.
While Chris tweeted a pic of his scraped chin, Drake refused to acknowledge what had happened. He headed to Saratoga Springs for a gig on 14 June and told the crowd, "I woke up this morning and the only thing that was on my mind was the fact that we had a f****** show at Saratoga tonight."
A rep for the hip hop star even suggested that he was not involved in the fight, insisting that he "did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind" and was "on his way out of the club" when the trouble began.
Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into the incident and Chris and his pals are said to have given witness statements to cops to tell their side of the story.
Drake has yet to meet with officers, but a spokesperson for the New York Police Department reveals he is planning to answer investigators' questions about the incident "at a time more convenient for him and his attorney".
And what's Rihanna been doing all this time? Well, RiRi was spotted in Soho, wearing a sheer dark shirt and no bra, with only the pockets of her top to cover up. Drawing attention away from the fight, perhaps?
