After the first jump for joy about the announcement of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's marriage, we could not wait to bring you some details about the celebrity wedding of the year - not at all in terms of extravagance as it seems, but when it comes to excitement levels, no other Hollywood power couple nuptial was more highly anticipated.
The Mr. and Mrs. Smith stars were married on Saturday in a secret ceremony at the Château Miraval in France. Twenty-two guests, including Brad's parents, Bill and Jane Pitt; his brother, Doug; sister Julie; and their kids, in addition to Brangelina's brood of six children, a source told E!News. Jolie's dad, actor Jon Voight was reportedly not part of the wedding party.
The newlyweds' kids Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and the twins Knox and Viviennne, 6, apparently played a big role in the overall ceremony of their parents, as the two oldest sons walked their mum down the aisle while Vivienne and Zahara acted as flower girls. Knox and Shiloh also participated as ring bearers.
Neither the wedding date nor the location was chosen at random, as a source told MailOnline that the couple made the romantic decision to tie the knot on their 10-year anniversary of filming for Mr & Mrs Smith, the movie where the couple met and fell for each other. The couple chose to wed at the French estate they bought three years ago, as Angelina made a promise to her late mother to get married in France.
The Maleficent actress reportedly walked down the aisle in white, whilst Brad wore a cream linen suit, just like his boys.
Congratulations once again to one of our favourite Hollywood couples, we cannot wait to see the stunning pictures!
