Imran Khan in Dubai for Charity Gala Fundraiser
Imran Khan

Imran Khan was one of Pakistan's leading cricket players, the captain who led the team to a World Cup victory in 1992. Since retired from the game, Khan has emerged as a force to reckon with in politics. But apart from these pursuits, he is also part of a cause that is extra special to him - the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, built in memory of his mum.

A charity gala fundraiser has been planned on 21 February to raise awareness and support of the hospital and research centre's mission, and Khan will be in town for it. The gala will include a live auction and raffle, dinner as well as a special performance by top Pakistani band Strings.
