How to relax like a Disney Princess in Orlando, Florida
In our books there’s only one way to do Disney - the Disney Princess way (and therefore, in song). Whether you’re travelling with little ones, in a couple, or like us, you’re single but a bit extra, the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World is the ultimate way to relax, unwind, and basically be treated like a (post-makeover) Cinderella. Here’s a glimpse into A Whole New World of resorting.
Take in a fantasy arrival
At Disney you’re constantly in awe, but this certainly takes the Mickey-shaped biscuit. Situated in a secluded part of Walt Disney World, the Four Seasons is a 26-acre lakeside resort lined with lush palms and cypress trees, dotted with gardens and glittering pools. It’s not a cheesy themed hotel but rather luxury grandeur with the magical touches of Disney.
Take a look at the structure itself – a modern Princess Jasmine-esque palace, and the lobby, with a striking crystal chandelier that will have you feeling like Belle/Emma Watson without the yellow dress.

Ride your own rides
When the main park gets busy, why sweat it when you can head back to the hotel and enjoy its huge private water park, Explorer Island, instead?
This five-acre playground is packed with activities for all ages, including a family pool with a lazy river winding around a ‘ruined’ mansion, climbing wall, waterslides, beach volleyball, basketball, a video gaming centre, outdoor movie nights on the Starstruck screen, and more.
We’ve even heard of visitors skipping a day at Disney World to spend a day here. It’s that good.

Get access to Extra Magic Hours
Ever seen pictures of Mariah at Disney (no, not the ones of her in a tiny mermaid outfit) and thought “there’s no way she was let loose with all those crazy tourists?”
Us too. Well, when you stay at the Four Seasons, here you get access to Extra Magic Hours, which means you get to enter selected parks before they open to the general public.
Not only does this mean uninterrupted selfie time, but it’s also a chance to enjoy all the most popular rides (including Avatar Flight Of Passage) without hefty lines.

Sleep like sleeping beauty
If your days leave you feeling Maleficient, then you’re in desperate need of Aurora sleep! Sleeping Beauties should look no further than the Royal Suite, featuring a vaulted great room, master bedroom, media room, private office and pantry kitchen.
The balcony is simply ideal for VIP viewings of the nightly Magic Kingdom Park fireworks. The media room means you can get comfy with your favourite Disney movie before bedtime, and welcoming touches for Muslim guests, such as luxe prayer rugs.

Dine with characters
Food is always more fun with animal company, so you’ll be delighted to hear that the resort’s Ravello restaurant holds breakfast with Goofy, Mickey and Minnie, along with on-site photographer so you don’t need to drop your cheese omelette to enjoy the moment.
For a fee, guests can request other characters join them for a private breakfast, although we’re not sure Sebastian will want to see you enjoy lobster benedict.
Song for when you order coffee: A Spoon Full of Sugar
Book some serious pampering
The spa has some gorgeous treatments available including a Winnie The Pooh-approved Healing Honey massage. Moms and daughters will adore the “Mommy & Me” experience whereby mother enjoys a glamorous ‘Queen’ blowout, manicure and designer crystal hair accessory, and her little Princess will get a makeover with dress, hairstyling, crystal tiara, wand, manicure, bracelet and make up.
Young boys can become shining knights, and as for daddy? Well, if he already looks like a King (or Beast), does he really need any work?
