How to Make... Tarte Tatin
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
1kg green apples
300g puff pastry
METHOD STEP BY STEP...
Make a light caramel with the sugar and water. Allow to cool and then add the butter. Line moulds or ramekins with the caramel. Or simply make the tart in the same pan as the caramel.
Peel the apples and cut into wedges.
Place on top of the caramel and bake for 15 minutes at 180C.
Remove from the oven and cover with puff pastry, folding in the edges.
Bake in the oven until the pastry is golden and fluffy. Unmould onto a plate and serve with ice cream, double cream or crème fraiche.
