Casting spells is no big deal for Harry Potter starlet Emma Watson, but it looks like Hollywood has been totally enchanted by the wizard update to her favourite smoky eye make-up. Sporting an ultra glam two-tone look at the New York premiere of the final flick in the franchise, Emma’s heavy black and gold eyeshadow has become the most copied red carpet make-up trend of the moment, inspiring everyone from Emma Roberts to Bollywood glamazon Aishwarya Rai to trial the look. With more than a hint of Black Swan inspiration, we’re loving Emma’s transition to the dark (make-up) side, with heavy black shadow lifted by a pop of intense gold pigment at the corners and under the lashes, and blinged up with carefully placed gold leaf at the outer edges. Not one for wallflowers, if making a magical entrance on a big night out is top of your list, this is so the way to go for a spellbinding new season face!

Make-Up Maestro Kate Goodwin
"Emma’s super dramatic eye make-up takes a little practice! Apply black eyeshadow onto the lid in a winged shape blending outwards, adding lots of black eyeliner to define, then highlight the inner corners with a vibrant gold shadow. Bling it up by adding glitter powder or gold leaf to the outer corners of your eyes using lash glue and tweezers. Finish with lashings of mascara, a little gold under the eye, and killer fake lashes."
