How to Get Ahead in Style
Always wondered how to breakthrough in the world of fashion and media but didn’t know how? Help is at hand from the ‘How to Get Into Fashion and Media’ conference that’s back this year after a stylish run in April 2012.
It happens on 3 March at Grand Hyatt Hotel’s The Living Room, and this year’s panel of experts includes Steve Pulley, international radio consultant and current programming director of 104.4 Virgin Radio Dubai; comedienne, artistic director, educator and founder of Dubomedy Mina Liccione and CEO of Expression Group Scott Feasey.
The six speaker panel plus open networking format was created by award-winning stylist Kelly Lundberg, Sublime models founder Sacha Plumbridge and international TV and radio presenter Simone Heng to develop the media and fashion industry in the UAE. The trio said, “After being inundated with emails and requests from those in the early stages of their careers, we decided to organise an event with the aim of providing a forum for aspirants to ask questions and gain inside knowledge into the fashion and media industry.” The three ladies will also share stories about their work at the conference.
For participants, there’s also the chance to win some seriously stylish prizes. Think limited edition ‘Simone Heng’ engraved BlackBerry Bold 9900 worth Dhs3000, an internship including stipend from Matrix PR, a Make Me A Stylist Course by Kelly Lundberg worth Dhs4950, a Philip Stein watch and sleep bracelet worth Dhs4000.
