We're now entering what we hope is the last month of intense heat here in the UAE!
Temperatures in the country have officially risen above 50 degrees, reports the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).
The highest temperature recorded in the country today was 50.6 degrees Celsius in Mezaira, Abu Dhabi and the lowest was 26.9 degrees in Jais Mountain at 5:45am.
Temperatures will continue to range between hot and very hot, and it may be partly cloudy and hazy at times. Scattered rainfall may bless those living in the eastern and southern areas.
Winds will cause blowing sand and dust over flat areas, where visibility may be compromised. Humidity will increase during night and early morning tomorrow over some coastal and internal areas.
Maximum temperatures will surge to 48 degrees inland, with lows of 25 degrees expected in the mountains.
