OMG!” That was the reaction from most people when Megan Fox walked the red carpet and displayed her baby bump for the first time last week. Of course, a married woman being pregnant isn’t at all shocking, but Meg is currently in the middle of a divorce from estranged husband actor Brian Austin Green.
The Divorce Continues
Despite their current legal battle, Megan, 29, and Brian, 42, stepped out for lunch in Los Angeles amid the actress’ baby news and things appeared to be amicable between them. Some news sources have claimed that the couple are still intending to go ahead with the divorce, but for now it’s on hold. Due to Megan’s pregnancy, they’re “continuing to work on their marriage and are living together again”, explained an insider, while another source told E! News: “This pregnancy was not planned, but when they found out they were extremely happy.”
Brian Plays Dumb
Brian was questioned about the baby news last week while discussing participating in Long Beach’s Toyota Pro Celebrity Race, and acted completely clueless about it. When Good Day LA host Steve Edwards probed him for information, an agitated Austin responded to by saying: “I don’t know. What’s up with me? What’s going on?” Edwards tried to get clarification by asking: “Are you to be congratulated?” and Austin replied: “Sure! I congratulate myself.” Super-awkward.
Who’s the Daddy?
At the time of going to press, Megan hadn’t addressed the pregnancy directly, but she took to Instagram and slyly responded to the gossip by posting a photo collage of herself next to three of her past and present male co-stars – Transformers’ Shia LaBeouf, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actor Will Arnett, and Jake Johnson, who plays her onscreen love interest in her recent guest arc on US sitcom New Girl. She kept the caption simple, writing: “#NotTheFather”. Brian, who has two sons with Megan – Noah, three, and Bodhi, two – has since confirmed that he’s the father of her third child and is going with the flow. He confessed to People magazine: “You know, nothing is planned. None of them are ever planned. You kind of just go with it. At my age, to be having three babies, is crazy. I’ll be 43 this year.”
Baby No. 2 For Blake
Blake and Ryan are expecting their second child, according to reports. The actress and the Deadpool star welcomed baby James 16 months ago, and now they’re set to become parents again. “Blake is absolutely thrilled and so is Ryan,” a source told People.com. Reps for the couple have yet to confirm the baby news, but Lively appeared to be sporting a possible baby belly while zipped into a wetsuit for reshoots for her upcoming film The Shallows. Blake tried to keep her swollen stomach hidden behind a robe, a towel and a surfboard, but the leaked photos clearly show her attempting to keep a secret.
The actress and her 39-year-old husband have not been shy about their hopes of having a big family, with The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star revealing: “I feel like my first child is going to be the oldest sibling to the next kid, and that may change with each and every year. I’m looking forward to how one baby influences the other, and to my family as a whole.”
Is Eva Preggers?
It wasn’t long ago that the people were suggesting actress Eva Mendes was getting sick of being with Ryan Gosling, but those reports can be firmly put to bed now she’s pregnant with her second child. Multiple sources claim the star and her long-time boyfriend Ryan are set to become parents again.
Eva first became a mum in 2014, when the couple’s daughter Esmeralda was born, and news of her second pregnancy started swirling in February after the actress was spotted trying to hide what looked like a baby bump during a photo shoot in Los Angeles. Mendes and Gosling have been an item since meeting on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011. The actress explained their daughter’s name during an appearance on US talk programme The Wendy Williams Show in September 2015, revealing both she and her beau are big fans of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, whose love interest is Esmerelda. “We loved the name, the cartoon and the novel and it just kept coming back to us,” Eva told the host. “It’s actually a very popular Latin name, so it’s easy for my father and family members that still don’t speak English to pronounce.”
