1 Jumeirah Beach:Situated adjacent to Dubai Marine Beach Resort, this public beach is a great place for an early evening stroll, paddle, snorkel and sun bathe. It even has a dedicated running track the length of the beach for a gentle dusk jog after work.
2 Al Mamzar Beach Park:This landscaped park has a great beach so you can combine a bit of land and sea relaxation. It is open to the public for a small fee and on Wednesdays it is open only to women and children.
3 Al Bateen Beach, Abu Dhabi:Is good for those who wish to avoid the crowds as it’s often very quiet. It does have sandy areas, but there are rocks leading to the shoreline, which means hours of fun for the kids, playing in the rock pools.
4 Corniche Beach, Abu Dhabi:With the city as your backdrop, spend the day picnicking and enjoying the ocean breeze on one of the UAE’s most popular beaches. The government has recently refurbished much of this area, spending a whopping Dhs105million – the facilities, changing rooms and cafes are all great, and the entire stretch of beach can accommodate a whopping 5,000 visitors.
5 Jebel Ali Beach:If you want to lounge or partake in water sports, hit Jebel Ali Beach. Experience a bit of what old Dubai might have been like, as Jebel Ali beach is much less commercialised than other Dubai beaches.
