Ten years from now... I'd love to see Mahani grow as a brand and expand it worldwide

Farah is the brains behind Mahani, which houses up-and-coming regional designers alongside established international labels under one very stylish roof – her standalone store is in the iconic Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Having studied fashion in London, Bahrain-born Farah set about bringing her own unique edge to the scene, launching Dubai’s first concept store for those seeking exclusivity.

Breaking away from the norm of other boutiques in the region, Mahani’s interior of concrete floors and fine art have been carefully engineered to emulate the sense of being in a gallery or museum, with each designer piece carefully curated accordingly. To enhance the multisensory shopping experience, Farah took the unusual step of opening an in-house bakery. This made Mahani a one-stop destination where fashionistas, regardless of their budget, could enjoy fresh food with likeminded people in a stylish environment.

Her unusual standpoint has been welcomed in the Middle East and the business has been featured in a number of prestigious publications. With Mahani’s reputation for supporting new talent now firmly established, Farah reveals she will be unveiling a new, exciting collaboration with London College of Fashion for 2014.
