At Home with... The Beckhams

After living the life of luxury in Los Angeles for just over a year, Jet Set celebrates their anniversary with the ultimate guide to David and Victoria’s hometown hotspots

Santa Monica:
The famous family either head to the beach to watch the boys surf or to visit Victoria’s favourite restaurant, Via Veneto, where she celebrated her 34th birthday in April.

Bel Air:
Brooklyn, nine, and six-year-old Romeo attend LA’s exclusive Curtis School on Mulholland Drive (three-year-old Cruz isn’t old enough yet), where the kids’ famous parents are regularly seen picking them up and helping out with charity events.

Sunset Boulevard:
LA’s famous street is also home to the Beckham’s favourite hotel, the Luxe, where they regularly book their families from the UK to stay if their house is too full (from Dhs800 per night).

Rodeo Drive:
Home to Victoria’s favourite designer (and her personal friend) Roberto Cavalli’s flagship store, David also loves to head there to pick up bling for him and his wife at the huge Tiffany Co and Cartier stores.

Robertson Boulevard:
Victoria loves heading to her favourite boutiques, Kitson and Madison, along with Anya Hindmarch and Chanel, before finishing off her shopping spree with lunch with the rest of the A-lister’s at renowned celeb-haunt, The Ivy.

Beverly Hills:
David, Victoria and their three boys live in a Dhs80 million Italian-style villa on the exclusive San Ysidro Drive (Michael Douglas has also lived here) in Beverly Hills. The six-bedroom pad boasts football-themed rooms for the boys, nine bathrooms and a swimming pool with the interior design done by Victoria’s friend, Brit interior designer Kelly Hoppen.

Posh has said that she’s not in LA to become an actress – “my friends know I can’t act, I’m truly awful” – but she still loves heading to Hollywood and her best friend Eva Longoria’s restaurant, Beso. The singer/designer loves the place so much she’s rumoured to be teaming up with Eva to launch a nightclub there as well.

The Hollywood bowl:
“The Bowl” has seen performers like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, The Beatles and Monty Python grace its stage since 1922. For more info, go to

The headquarters of David’s LA Galaxy team is 25 kilometres from downtown LA at the Home Depot Center Stadium in Carson. Check out

Downtown LA:
The whole family are huge basketball fans, and David and the boys are regularly spotted courtside at LA Lakers games, as the sports star has already got himself a season ticket for the team’s home court at the LA Staples Center. Go to
