The Party girls

Who: Ashley Greene, Miley Cyrusand Demi Lovato

Wild child Miley Cyrus has found a surrogate big sis in her
LOL: Laughing Out Loud co-star Ashley Greene, with the pair
snapped clubbing in Paris, where they’re currently shooting
the movie. And despite reports that Miley’s camp
tried to keep Ashley away from the 17-year-old, Miley’s ditched her sweaky clean former friend Taylor Swift to hang with the hard-partying Twilight star instead.
“When Miley was hanging out with Taylor Swift, Taylor’s friends thought Miley was too crazy,” said a source. Adding, “Now Miley’s met her match in Ashley – she always wants to party.”

And, even though 23-year-old Ashley is now dating Joe Jonas, Miley’s BFF Demi Lovato’s ex, Demi is also keen to hit the clubs with Ashley. “Demi’s terrified Miley will dump her if she doesn’t accept Ashley,” spilled a pal. “Plus, Demi knows that Miley attracts headlines wherever she goes, so the press attention of being caught clubbing with Ashley and Miley is a bonus.”

While 18-year-old Demi herself confessed she always follows
Miley’s lead – “Miley’s been in the spotlight longer than I have, so I go to her.” The Disney star added, “I can text her that I’m crying and stressed out, and she’ll reply back, ‘All right, here’s what you do’. She’s the sweetest thing in the world.”

The Pop princesses

Who: Katy Perry, Rihanna, Fergieand Cheryl Cole

After Cheryl Cole supported The Black Eyed Peas last year, she became firm friends with Fergie – and now the Imma Be singer is determined to integrate the Brit starlet into her Hollywood circle.

“Cheryl is such a good friend,” gushed Fergie. “But I don’t think she has quite got her head around how big she is going to be. My girl really can rule the world. I have already heard crazy things, like Robert De Niro wants to make movies with her and that Jay-Z wants to work with her.”

She added, “Within five years we could be talking about Cheryl on the same level as we do Madonna or Mariah Carey.”
And to make sure Cheryl reaches her potential, Fergie’s wasted no time in hooking Cheryl up with her most influential female pop friends, including long-time pal Rihanna and her BFF Katy Perry.

In the male dominated music industry, Rihanna and Katy pride themselves on being feisty, fearless females, and it’s thought that by teaming up with them, Cheryl will be unstoppable in her bid to crack the states – “Katy is hilarious, rude and disrespectful,” says Rihanna of her bestie, while Katy gushes that the Umbrella singer has “all these ideas about everything.”

The Good girls

Who: Taylor Swift, Emma Stone, Selena Gomezand Leighton Meester

At the core of this gang – who embrace everything girly, like sleepovers and shopping trips, and shun the party lifestyle – are Taylor Swift and her long-time bestie, Selena Gomez. This sweeter-than-sugar pair bonded over boyfriends and break-ups when Taylor and Selena dated – and got dumped by – Joe and Nick Jonas, respectively.

“I was going through a very hard break-up and Taylor came to my house at 10:30 at night and knocked on my door,” gushed Selena of her bestie. “I opened it, and she had two big bags of junk food, cookies, Snickers and soda.”

Adding, “She told me that now we could look forward to break-ups, since we know the other one will get us junk food! She’s very sweet. I feel very lucky to have her in my life.”

Their circle also includes 21-year-old Zomebieland actress Emma Stone, who clicked with Taylor when they met at the 2007 Young Hollywood Awards – “She’s so great! She has such a sick sense of humour,” gushed Emma.

While Taylor added, “I would trust Emma with any secret, because not only would she keep it… she’d find some way to make me laugh about it.”

And, with Selena having just spent the summer filming new flick Monte Carlo in Europe with Leighton Meester, the Gossip Girl star has also recently been inaugurated into the girly gang.

The Valley girls

Who: Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reedand Dakota Fanning

Twenty-two-year-old Nikki Reed instantly bonded with Kristen Stewart over their mutual love of music, on the set of the first Twilight movie in 2008. And the indie chicks – who both reside in the laid-back San Fernando Valley area of California spend their off-duty time smoking, playing music and hanging out in artsy coffee shops.

“My friends are actors. My best friend is Nikki Reed, who is also in Twilight. I live in the Valley,” says Kristen. “I’m sort of a typical Valley girl. We just sit around and play guitar and watch movies and hang out.”

While Nikki recently revealed why she can’t wait to get to work on the next Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn – “Kristen is my best friend. I get to work on a set with really wonderful people and really creative people, and there are a million people in the world that have read this series and love the series. I get to be with my best friend. I can’t think of anything better.”

And 16-year-old Dakota Fanning has also been welcomed into the hippy fold, since she joined the Twilight cast and co-starred with Kristen in last year’s music-based flick, The Runaways.

“Working this closely with someone, you can’t help but really become bonded with them and it really helps when you actually like them and can become really good friends,” said Kristen of her ‘little sister’ Dakota. “I haven’t really done a lot of movies with people close to my own age to have a good friend like that. So, I was excited. I couldn’t have asked for a better person.”
