She may have the most successful celebrity fashion line in the world, but it hasn’t been quite so easy for singing star Jessica Simpson to triumph over her body image issues. Following a painful break-up with first husband Nick Lachey – when she revealed she comforted herself by gorging on cookies and ice cream – to a very public split with her last fiancé, footballing star Tony Roma, Jessica has yo-yoed from a tiny size 4 right up to a curvy size 14, and every size in between. And while Jess has previously fought hard to beat the bulge, her current shape-up regime is said to be the most stressful she’s undertaken yet. Preparing to walk up the aisle with former NFL player Eric Johnson, Jessica is on a major pre-wedding fitness kick to shape-up for her big day, and has enlisted the help of celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson to help her shift the kilos. Working out four times a week for 75 minutes at a time with the teeny fitness expert, who’s credited for buffing everyone from Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, to Nicole Richie and Claudia Schiffer into shape, Jessica is super-focused on getting back to her Daisy Duke best before she says ‘I Do.’ Following Tracy’s mega strict diet and exercise plan, Jessica is said to have cut her calorie intake to just 800 calories per day, ditching all carbohydrates and fibre from her diet and existing simply on lean proteins and herbal teas. “She wants to look healthy, not super-skinny” spilled a pal. “She’s seeing results with her new workout programme, and she really loves it.”

Never one to be coy about her body demons, as a curvy, troubled teen in The Osbournes, Kelly was as openly addicted to junk food as she was illegal substances. Losing and gaining weight on a series of faddy diets, Kelly finally kicked her addiction to drugs and alcohol – but her weight was still an issue. Topping the scales at 160lbs when she checked out of rehab in 2009, it wasn’t until she signed up for Dancing With the Stars six months later that her real body transformation began. Dropping 50lbs thanks to a combination of intensive dance training and a high protein diet, once she hung up her dancing shoes however, the weight began to creep back on. Blaming the hectic (but party heavy) awards season, Kelly inched up from a size 4 to a size 6. Signing up celeb trainer Sarah Hagaman, Kelly says she’s now back on track. “I’m glad I’ve had time to myself now the awards season is over.” She spilled. “I’ve been able to get back into my gym routine and I’m getting my body back!”
