Q: I’ve heard about goji berries, wheatgrass and quinoa. Are they really as great as everyone says or just a big waste of money? Anna, 35

Hala Barghout says: A superfood is one which has a high concentration of essential nutrients. Wheat grass, quinoa, and goji berries are some of the many superfoods available around the world.
Quinoa is one of the best whole grains you can eat. It is high in protein, fibre and a naturally good source of iron.
Goji berries pack more vitamin C than some oranges. They are a tasty addition to soup and cereal.
While wheatgrass contains most of the vitamins and minerals needed for human health. It’s a whole meal and complete protein with about 30 enzymes. Wheatgrass can be taken as shots, tablets or powder.
