Dubai’s first licensed Cajun restaurant is launching its version of New Orleans' famous Bourbon Street Fair on 27 January. The restaurant will transform into a scene straight from the streets of the French Quarter in a celebration of Creole culture. Aside from the signature decor like flags, bunting and street lamps, there will be live jazz music and a menu that's as authentic as it gets. The Louisiana-born head chef Jeffrey Whitfield will be serving up specialities including crab cakes with fried green tomatoes, red beans and rice with Andouille sausage, barbecue shrimp and even cat fish and grits.
