Give it up for The Ultimate Crossroads campaign by Meydan IMAX Theatre, which has reached its target of 15,000 signatures in support of Dubai’s 2020 Expo bid. But you can still sign up, particularly if you're an expat, as organisers want to collect support from 150 nationalities. Currently, they're running short of 55 nationalities – among them from the countries Taiwan, Costa Rica and El Salvador.

Part of the campaign is a free screening of Ultimate Airport Dubai in the Meydan IMAX Theatre, after which people are asked to sign the Expo petition.

You'd be in pretty stellar company when you sign on, HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has already joined the campaign. After all the signatures are collected, the petition will be sent to the Bureau of International Expositions in Paris - the hot spot where the decision on which city will host the 2020 Expo will be announced on 27 November.

INFO: You can sign the petition in the main lobby of the Meydan IMAX Theatre Dubai, http://meydanimax.com. Also, support the UAE's Expo 2020 bid on www.expo2020dubai.ae
