There is nothing like watching a couple tie the knot to make you feel warm and fuzzy, and it looked like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle definitely had love on their minds when they attended a recent wedding in the Caribbean.
The Brit royal and the Suits actress were among the guests who witnessed Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip – Prince Harry’s childhood friend – exchange vows with literary agent Lara Hughes-Young in the beautiful resort of Montego Bay in Jamaica last week. According to onlookers, the loved-up pair were clearly caught up in the romance of the occasion. “Harry and Meghan seem very much in love,” a source said, adding that Harry spent much of his time introducing Meghan to his friends.
Meanwhile, Pastor Conrad Thomas, who conducted the ceremony at the stunning Round Hill Hotel and Resort told the UK Mail on Sunday that Meghan, 35, and Harry, 32, “are head over heels in love.” He added: ‘They sat three rows back from the front and joined in a very robust and joyful version of One Love [by Bob Marley]. Meghan has beautiful bright eyes. They are a very affectionate couple.”
IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE
Given that the groom is one of Harry’s oldest and dearest friends from his Eton school days, Meghan’s presence at the nuptials indicates she is well and truly entrenched in Harry’s inner circle. The pair have reportedly spent much of this year holed up in Harry’s Nottingham Cottage in Kensington Palace, and they have obviously grown closer since they were first pictured together in December.
At the reception, Meghan could barely keep her hands off her man and she could be seen repeatedly placing a supportive hand on Harry’s back as he tended to usher duties. But it wasn’t just the PDAs that got people talking. Meghan was also sporting a Dhs22,000 gold Cartier Love Bracelet, believed to be a gift from Harry.
Now there is speculation about whether Harry could be shopping for another piece of jewellery for his lady love in the shape of an engagement ring. After all, Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their engagement just weeks after they were photographed looking loved-up at a friend’s wedding. What’s more, Meghan has already got the royal seal of approval. Though she has yet to officially meet the Queen, a Buckingham Palace aid said the monarch was ‘fully supportive” of the union. “She’s delighted to see Harry in a loving relationship,” added the source. It’s rumoured that Meghan will officially be welcomed into the royal fold when she attends Pippa Middleton’s wedding in May.
