Hanging Out At Zengo And Loving Dubai Life

Ahlan!’s end the detox party
After weeks of being on a detox and feeling healthy and cleansed, I was successfully tempted to enjoy a night out by the cheeky Ahlan! Team. The venue was the newly launched Zengo restaurant at Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa on Al Sufouh Road. It was lovely to catch up with my local showbiz mates Kris Fade and Two Tone, who were chilling in the VIP area. Two Tone showed me how to do his signature pose, which reminded me of playing ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ (just don’t tell him that!).

Date Night
Johnny and I enjoyed our weekly date night and tried out British chef’s Gary Rhodes latest Dubai restaurant, W1 at Grosvenor House. The recent rain had made us feel a bit wintery, so we shared the cottage pie, which was a comforting taste of home!

The kids were amazed to spot two gold-plated supercars as we were driving home on The Palm this week! This incredible Lamborghini Aventador was closely followed by the Range Rover and I couldn’t help but grab a pic as they drove past us. They were pretty impressive, very Dubai!

RADIO BABBA
This week I popped in to see Jeff at Pearl FM, the Middle East’s first radio station for kids, based at the Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children in Jumeirah. Pearl FM is a wonderful project, recently opened by His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed, Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the UAE, and his daughter Sheikha Al Jalila, and I shared my experiences as a member of Steps and as Principal of Dubai Performing Arts Academy, talking about the health benefits and confidence boost that performing can give to youngsters.
